# About this product

ISO 22989 Revision Checker is a free reference and readiness checker for the generative AI amendment to ISO/IEC 22989:2022, with a paid terminology kit and change watch. It is built and run by The Art of Service.

## Why it exists

AI governance leads and ISO/IEC 42001 implementers are asked to keep a vocabulary that survives a moving standard. The public record of the amendment is thin: a title, a stage, a set of dates and an applicability statement. The 2022 standard is public in its definitions but silent on generative AI. This site puts the two together, says what is proved and what is not, and gives the reader a way to plan.

## Who it is for

The AI governance lead who owns the policy, the ISO/IEC 42001 implementer who owns the management system, the procurement lead who writes the supplier schedule, and the assurance lead who has to show that a word means the same thing in four documents.

## How the record is built

From the official ISO catalogue record and the public clause 3 entries in the ISO Online Browsing Platform. Every definition is written in our own words and cited to its clause. No clause text is reproduced. The method page sets out the claim levels and the limits.

## Who writes it

Gerard Blokdyk, The Art of Service. The product is independent of ISO and IEC and is not endorsed by either. Contact support@theartofservice.com.

## What it will not do

It will not tell you that you are compliant, will not reproduce the standard, will not invent the amendment text and will not treat a planning date as an ISO deadline. It is a reference and a planning aid.
